Some of the bigger changes in a sound profile a user suggested to me seems to be a big reduction in the 1kHz frequency band, and this seems to help this phone a LOT in terms of instrumental separation and overall clarity. It sounds like garbage out of the box (again IMO), but can actually be made presentable with some hacks and a bit of EQ. The S23 Ultra, in my opinion, is such a case. I personally am not used to setting sound profiles on a device to attempt to get "better" sound, but for some sets of crappy sound systems, I believe an EQ can help them be much more presentable and/or even bring them back towards a neutral sound signature if their default frequency response is not neutral. My issue was not one of "sound preference", but simple clarity and instrumental/vocal separation. I know this is five months late, but I randomly stumbled on this topic while looking around for an EQ to try to fix the annoying sound issues that I was having with my S23 Ultra at default settings. This will bring back your dynamic range, this was already thoroughly tested and proven on the s9 and s10. You want REAL sound quality Take every frequency band and move it down -2db across the board.
